The School Governance Council is considering implementing the Universal Personal Fitness Waiver at Northview, and is now requesting feedback from Northview stakeholders in order to reach a final decision. UPF will only be offered as a waiver, which means that no credit or grade will be assigned for the class.
Eligibility for the UPF waiver would require students to complete two seasons of Marching Band, or a GHSA sport, excluding One-Act Play or Literary competitions.
Past participation will not count towards the waiver, and all eligibility requirements must be met by the end of the first semester of the student’s senior year.
Feedback can be sent via email to the SGC President Ms. Kelley Butcher, or dropped off in the public comment box at the front office.
Public comments may also be made in person at the SGC meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 3:45 p.m. in the Northview Media Center.
