Softball Falls in Tough Fight

Yesterday evening, Thursday, August 24, Northview Titan Softball (0-4, 0-4 Region 6-AAAAAA) lost to the Johns Creek Gladiators (3-5, 3-2 Region 6-AAAAAA) by a score of 10-7. The Northview Lady Titans got the hot start they needed to battle for their first win, jumping out to an early two-run lead in the top of the first. However, Johns Creek responded with a run in three straight innings. Northview, unfazed, stormed right back in the top of the sixth inning, scoring a season high five runs to tie the game. Johns Creek eventually found an answer yet again with a three-run bottom of the sixth to top the Lady Titans at home and secure their third region victory this season.

“It was the first time this season where we had the game come down to the wire, so it was very exciting and a great moment for the team,” Head Coach Evan Baker said.

The Lady Titans are still seeking their first win as they host Cambridge on Tuesday, August 29, in a key region match-up.
