The Northview Titans Girls Swim team had several swimmers qualify for the state meet coming up in February on Thursday, January 12 at the Fulton County Championship meet. Three of those swimmers include seniors Isabelle Bray, Gracie Clough, and Michelle Cho.
“These girls have done a great job this year and have really stood out this season,” Coach Tony Cianciola said.
Many of the girls train with outside swim teams and will be getting tons of practice between now and the state meet.
“These girls swim all year around, probably about 8-9 times a week, so going into our next meet will be preparation for the girls for state,” Cianciola said.
In the Fulton County Championship meet, the team finished sixth, with a score of 178. Johns Creek won the women’s meet with a score of 474.
“Johns Creek and Alpharetta are going to be very tough to beat, but we are hopeful heading into state because we know that we are able to compete with those two teams,” Cianciola said.
The Titans next compete in a tri-meet against GAC and Chattahoochee on January 21, which will be the final meet before state on February 3.
